Music Connects Schools, Cities, and Cultures
 

Music education grows through encounters, reciprocal visits, and shared creativity. The cooperation programs of the Sayat-Nova Music School bring together educational and cultural institutions in Armenia and abroad, creating new experiences and development opportunities for students and teachers.

«Sister Schools» Program
 

The Sayat-Nova Music School of Yerevan participates in the «Sister Schools» program, initiated by the Alexander Hekimyan Music School of Yerevan and implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia.

The program aims to strengthen cooperation between music and art schools in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia, encourage the exchange of professional and creative experience, and build new connections among students and teachers from different communities.

As part of the cooperation, reciprocal visits, joint concerts, master classes, and cultural and educational programs have been organized, giving students and teachers the opportunity to present their achievements, share experience, and take part in collaborative creative initiatives.

The program contributes to the development of lasting ties among Armenia’s music and art schools, creating a shared professional and creative environment.

Visit of the Aparan School of Arts Delegation

The Sayat-Nova Music School welcomed a delegation from the School of Arts of the Aparan community in Aragatsotn Province. The event was attended by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan, and Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Levon Hovhannisyan.

The guests viewed an exhibition of students’ visual artworks and then attended a concert program performed by combined ensembles and orchestras. The cultural program of the visit also included the History Museum of Armenia and landmarks of Yerevan.

International Cooperation
 

The Sayat-Nova Music School consistently expands its international connections, creating new opportunities for the professional and creative development of students and teachers. Participation in international festivals, competitions, and joint educational and cultural programs, cooperation with music institutions abroad, and the exchange of experience are important parts of the school’s educational environment. The school seeks to connect its students with global musical developments while presenting the finest traditions of Armenian performance and music education on international platforms.

International Music Education Forum in Tashkent

At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ruzanna Stepanyan, Vice-Rector of the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, and Garik Nazaryan, Director of the Sayat-Nova Music School, participated in the international forum «Music Education: Toward a Unified Space on a Global Scale» held in Tashkent.

The delegation visited the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and the V. Uspensky Specialized Music School in Tashkent, and took part in professional discussions and meetings with representatives of international music organizations.

The Chamber Orchestra at the International Meeting-Festival in Mytilene

The Chamber Orchestra of the Sayat-Nova Music School, led by Arman Grigoryan, took part in the 3rd International Meeting-Festival of Music Schools in Mytilene, Greece.

The concert program featured works by Vivaldi, Komitas, Mirzoyan, and Harutyunyan. The young musicians also took part in master classes, seminars, intercultural dialogue programs, and cultural and educational visits.

The school extends its gratitude to the Yerevan Municipality for supporting the Chamber Orchestra’s first international trip.

Visit of the Leipzig Delegation to the School

The Sayat-Nova Music School welcomed a delegation led by Leipzig Deputy Mayor Ms. Skadi Jennicke. The guests learned about the school’s history and attended a specially organized concert program featuring participants of the Excellence Program and the «Shogher» Choir under the direction of Nairi Grace-Bardakjian.

The visit laid the foundation for new connections in the field of cultural education. Joint initiatives and programs are planned between the Sayat-Nova Music School and the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School of Leipzig.
