Departments and Teachers

In 1982, Irina Hakobyan graduated with honors from the P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan, where she studied in the classes of I. Grigoryan and Professor A. Ambakumyan. In 1987, she graduated with honors from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and in 1989 completed postgraduate studies under Professor A. Ambakumyan, Honored Art Worker. She further developed her professional skills in masterclasses with Moscow Conservatory professors V. Merzhanov, V. Gornostayeva, R. Kerer, and Y. Hayrapetyan.

Since 1987, she has taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. From 1987 to 1991, she worked as an assistant in the Specialized Piano Department, and since 1991 in the Specialized Piano and Organ Department. Since 2005, she has headed the Piano Department of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School. Since 2022, she has also taught at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College.

In 1985, she became a laureate of the Transcaucasian Competition. She has taken part in All-Union and international music auditions and has performed in cities across Armenia, as well as in Moscow, Odesa, Lviv, Kyiv, Baku, and Tbilisi. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed and recorded for radio and television. She has collaborated with violinist Artashes Ghazaryan, cellist Hrachya Harutyunyan, and conductors R. Mangasaryan, V. Papyan, G. Muradyan, and V. Shubladze.

Her pupils and students are laureates of national and international competitions. Many of them pursue professional careers in music education institutions in Armenia, as well as in Greece, Belgium, France, Germany, Russia, and the United States.

Irina Hakobyan regularly conducts masterclasses at music education institutions in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia, as well as within international competitions and festivals. For her concert, creative, teaching, and organizational activities, she has received certificates of honor and letters of appreciation from national and international organizations.

Karine Elchyan studied at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan and later continued her education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of People’s Artist of Armenia, Professor Yuri Hayrapetyan.

She continued her professional education in the postgraduate program of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, studying under Professor A. A. Alexandrov.

In 1988–1989, she took part in the Sergei Rachmaninoff International Advanced Professional Mastery Courses. In 1990, she received a diploma and a special prize at the All-Union Rachmaninoff Competition.

She taught at the Specialized Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

As a performer, she has appeared as a soloist and with various ensembles and orchestras in Armenia, Russia, and Germany.

Since 2014, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and Head of the Piano Department.

Lilit Abovyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. From 2007 to 2011, she completed her bachelor’s studies in the class of Alexander Gurgenov, and from 2011 to 2013 she continued her master’s studies in the class of Irina Hakobyan.

Aregnaz Ayvazyan graduated from the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in 1998.

She continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Innessa Chughuryan, graduating with honors in 2003.

Since 2004, she has taught piano at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, where she also serves as Assistant to the Head of Department.

Hasmik Ancharakyan graduated with honors from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she studied under Eleonora Voskanyan, Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR.

Following her graduation, she worked as an accompanist in the class of Tatevik Sazandaryan, People's Artist of the USSR, and subsequently pursued a career in teaching.

During her years at the Sayat-Nova and Tchaikovsky Music Schools in Yerevan, she has received diplomas and letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, as well as certificates of honor from Yerevan Municipality.

In 2024, she was awarded the title of “Best Teacher of the School” and received a medal. In 2025, she received the “Best Teacher” diploma at the Alatone International Competition.

She has received diplomas for Best Accompanist Performance at numerous national and international competitions. Her students regularly participate in national and international competitions and festivals, earning various awards.

For many years, she has initiated and organized faculty concerts at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, regularly performing in these concerts herself.

Irina Badalyan is a pianist and teacher, Professor at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and Head of its Chamber and Instrumental Ensemble Department.

In 1972, she entered the Sarajevo Music School and later continued her studies at the Romanos Melikyan Music College. In 1984, she entered the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, graduating in 1989 with qualifications as an accompanist and teacher. In 1993, she completed postgraduate studies in chamber ensemble.

From 1984 to 2004, she worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, and since 2005 she has again taught at the same school as a piano teacher.

Since 1992, she has worked at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, serving at different times as accompanist, lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor. She received the academic title of Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2014. Since 2018, she has headed the Conservatory's Chamber and Instrumental Ensemble Department.

From 2006 to 2013, she also worked at the Yerevan State Choreographic College as an accompanist. Since 2006, she has taught at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Specialized Music School.

Irina Badalyan is a laureate of international competitions. More than ten of her students have received prizes at international competitions. She has also served as a jury member at international competitions and festivals.

Marina Barkhudarova graduated from the Komitas Music School in Stepanakert and later continued her studies at the Sayat-Nova Music College in Stepanakert, graduating in 1985.

After graduation, she worked as a teacher at music schools in Stepanakert and in the districts of Artsakh.

From 1990 until October 2023, she worked at the Sayat-Nova Music College in Stepanakert, carrying out many years of teaching activity.

From 2010 to 2015, she studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

She currently works at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Armine Grigoryan received her professional education at the Romanos Melikyan Music College in Yerevan and later continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Robert Shugarov.

Since 1991, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher.

Meri Grigoryan was born in Yerevan on March 16, 1989.

From 1995 to 2001, she studied piano at the Alexander Spendiarian No. 1 Specialized Music School in the class of E. Muradyan. During her studies, she took part in numerous concerts and competitions and gave solo recitals. After completing the seven-year curriculum in six years, she continued her studies at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in the class of Professor A. Gurgenov. She also refined her professional skills under Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, pianist Hayk Melikyan, and Professor Margar Sedrakyan.

From 2005 to 2011, she completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor A. Gurgenov. From 2011 to 2013, she continued her postgraduate studies at the same conservatory under Professor Margar Sedrakyan.

Since 2012, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and accompanist. In 2016–2017, she also taught and worked as an accompanist at the Alexander Spendiarian Music School. Since 2022, she has also taught at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Music School.

From 2017 to 2023, she was a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, researching the topic “Stepan Elmas as a Composer and Pianist.” She is the author of three published scholarly articles, as well as a biographical article on Stepan Elmas published in the Armenian Music Encyclopedia in 2019. She has participated in conferences for young scholars.

She continues an active performing and teaching career. Her students successfully take part in national and international competitions.

Rima Gevorgyan was born in Yerevan on May 25, 1984.

In 2001, she graduated from the Piano Department of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan, where she studied in the class of Professor Z. Barseghyan. That same year, she entered the Piano Faculty of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying from 2001 to 2006 in the class of Professor I. Hakobyan.

Since 2007, she has worked at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan as an accompanist.

From 2011 to 2023, she served as an accompanist at the Little Singers of Armenia Children’s Philharmonic.

Since 2015, she has taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher.

Since 2016, she has also worked at the Alexander Achemyan Music School in Yerevan as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Liana Zakaryan received her initial musical education at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School in Yerevan and continued her studies at the Romanos Melikyan Music College.

From 1992 to 1997, she studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Yakov Zargaryan.

After graduating from the Conservatory, she worked as a concertmaster at its Vocal Department and later at the Mily Balakirev Music School in Moscow. During this period, she also participated in various competitions as an accompanist.

She currently teaches at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College and the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

She has also completed professional development training through the National Centre for Vocational Education and Training Development of the National Institute of Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Armenia.

Anahit Lazaryan entered the Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in 1989.

She began her professional career in 1994 as a piano teacher at the Voice Preservation School. At the same time, she worked at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory as an accompanist.

Since 2001, she has taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, and since 2014 also at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School.

Ruzanna Khasapetyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she completed her master’s degree under the guidance of Vagharshak Harutyunyan.

She is a laureate of national and international competitions and works as a pianist at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

Elen Kirakosyan was born in Yerevan in 1987. In 1994, she entered the Mikayel Mirzoyan Music School in the class of P. Ketchyan and later continued her studies at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School.

From 2004 to 2010, she studied in the Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Alexander Gurgenov.

She is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. She performs as a soloist and accompanist. Together with Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Anna Mayilyan, she has recorded several albums. She has performed in Iran, Lebanon, Russia, and Artsakh.

Since 2007, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and accompanist. At the same time, she works at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory as a teaching assistant in the class of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, Professor Anna Mayilyan.

Ruben Kozin began studying piano at the age of five. At twelve, he entered the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied under Professor Natalia Trull. He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 2020.

He has performed extensively in Armenia and internationally, including in France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Belgium, and Russia. His festival appearances include Visages d’Arménie in France, the Gradus International Piano Festival in Denmark, and the Moscow Meets Friends Festival in Russia.

His repertoire includes more than 15 piano concertos. As a soloist, he has collaborated with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, the Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra, and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. His chamber music partners have included violinists Thomas Lefort, Karen Shahgaldyan, and Polina Sharafyan.

An active performer of contemporary music, Kozin collaborates with living composers and presents world premieres of new works. In May 2024, he gave the world premiere of Eduard Hayrapetyan’s Second Piano Sonata, which was dedicated to him.

He is a prizewinner of more than 13 international competitions and festivals, including the André Dumortier International Piano Competition, the Aram Khachaturian International Competition, the EPTA International Piano Competition, the Eurasian Music Games, and the Malta International Piano Competition.

He has further developed his artistry through masterclasses with distinguished pianists, including Akiko Ebi, Ronan O’Hora, Grigory Gruzman, Eugen Indjic, Kevin Kenner, and Pascal Nemirovski. A recipient of a Yamaha scholarship, he has also performed in Japan as part of joint projects organized by Kawai and the Moscow Conservatory.

In 2025, he recorded his debut album featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Komitas. Its digital release through Prima Classic was scheduled for summer 2026.

He is a member of the Primavera Foundation in Armenia.

Arusyak Kostanyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. She is a laureate of national and international competitions.

Alongside her teaching activities at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, she serves as an Associate Professor at the Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University, where she is also pursuing a Candidate of Sciences degree.

She is the author of three collections of piano arrangements, one of which serves as a piano teaching manual. She has also published piano-vocal scores of songs by composers Arthur Grigoryan and Marine Ales.

In collaboration with Angin Hambarpyumyan, she co-created the children's musical Darine.

She maintains an active concert career, performing with the Hayren National Song Choir and Orchestra.

From 1982 to 1988, Svetlana Hakobyan studied in the Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Villy Sargsyan.

She worked at Music School No. 1 in Hrazdan and at the K. Kushnaryan School of Arts, and later at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and subsequently as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.

From 2022 to 2024, she worked as a Chief Specialist in the Department of Culture and Tourism of Yerevan Municipality. Since 2024, she has served as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Tamara Harutyunyan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

From 1975 to 1981, she worked at the Byureghavan Music School and later at the Sargis Barkhudaryan Music School in Yerevan.

Since 1995, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher.

Her students are laureates of national competitions.

Vagharshak Harutyunyan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in 1984.

Since 1987, he has taught in the Specialized Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and holds the rank of professor.

He has been awarded the title “Honorary Educator of Yerevan” and the Grigor Narekatsi Commemorative Medal.

Astghik Hlghatyan studied at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Specialized Music School in Yerevan. She continued her professional education at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, completing both her bachelor's and master's degrees under Professor Armine Mokatsyan.

She is a laureate of the First Karen Kostanyan National Chamber Ensemble Competition.

From 2008 to 2021, she worked at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College in Yerevan.

She has been working at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan since 2015 as a piano teacher and has served as Deputy Director for Organizational Affairs since 2024.

Hasmik Hovsepyan received her professional music education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying under Professor Roza Tandilyan.

She works as a choir pianist at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

She also teaches piano at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Marine Margaryan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and later continued her postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Roza Tandilyan. She studied composition under Eduard Mirzoyan.

She is a laureate of a number of national and international competitions and is active as a pianist, teacher, and accompanist.

She is a lecturer in the Specialized Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, founder and president of the AREA Association for the Development of Culture and Education, and chief pianist of the Little Singers of Armenia Children’s Philharmonic.

She teaches at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School and the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School.

She actively participates in national and international festivals, competitions, and educational and cultural programs as an organizer, pianist, ensemble performer, accompanist, teacher, consultant, and member or chair of competition juries.

Sofa Martirosyan received her professional music education at the A. Babajanyan Music-Pedagogical College and later continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, in the class of Professor Y. H. Arakelyan.

She teaches at the R. Melikyan State Music College, the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, and the H. Danielyan School of Arts.

She has also completed professional development training organized by the National Center for Vocational Education and Training Development of the National Institute of Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Armenia.

Narine Nikoghosyan graduated from the Baku State Music College in 1984 and from the Yerevan Brusov State Linguistic University in 1990.

From 1999 to 2005, she worked as a piano teacher and accompanist at the Alexander Hekimyan Music School in Yerevan.

In 2007, she graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and subsequently pursued advanced performance studies under Professor Anzhelika Harutyunyan.

From 2017 to 2020, she taught piano at the Konstantin Sarajyan Music School in Yerevan. Since 2025, she has also worked as an accompanist at the Sahakyan Music School in Abovyan.

She has taught piano at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School since 2007.

Among her students are graduates of music colleges and conservatories, as well as prizewinners of school and national music competitions.

Hasmik Shatoyan was born in Yerevan on June 16, 1973.

From 1988 to 1992, she studied in the Piano Department of the Arno Babajanyan Music College in Yerevan, and from 1992 to 1997 in the Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. From 1997 to 2000, she completed a specialization in accompaniment at the same conservatory.

In 2016, she completed professional development training at the National Institute of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia; in 2017 at the Vienna Music Academy; and in 2018 at the Ars Subtilior Center in Valencia.

She began her teaching career in 1990. From 2002 to 2007, she taught at the Yerevan State Conservatory in the Department of History and Theory of Performing Arts, and since 2008 she has taught at the Romanos Melikyan Music College in Yerevan.

Since 2021, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher.

In 2023–2024, she took part in the professional program for methodologists of Aragatsotn Province organized by the Armenian Cultural Support Foundation.

Armine Shmavonyan studied at the Romanos Melikyan Music and Pedagogical College in Yerevan and subsequently at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, in the class of Professor Armen Babakhanian.

She is a laureate of national and international competitions.

She began her professional career at the Oshakan Music School, where she worked as a piano teacher and accompanist before serving as Deputy Director. She has also worked at a music academy in the United Arab Emirates.

She has participated in masterclasses abroad and has received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Hasmik Saribekyan was born on July 16, 1989, in Yerevan.

She received her initial music education in the piano department of the Martiros Saryan Art School. In 2004, she continued her studies at the Arno Babajanyan State Music and Pedagogical College in the class of Professor V. S. Najaryan.

In 2009, she entered the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying under Professor Armine Grigoryan.

She has taught piano at the Budaghyan Art School since 2013 and at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School since 2023.

She has received numerous certificates of appreciation and recognition for her students’ achievements and her contributions to music education.

Emma Vardapetyan studied in the Piano Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1978 to 1981 in the class of Keti Malkhasyan. From 1981 to 1983, she continued her studies at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire in the class of Professor Machutadze, graduating with honors.

From 1983 to 1998, she worked at Music School No. 4 in Tbilisi as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Since 1998, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Naira Ter-Sargsyan was born in Yerevan in 1958.

In 1965, she entered the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, studying under Honored Teacher Yelena Krajyan. During her studies, she actively participated in concerts, performing in both the Grand and Small Halls of the Philharmonic.

From 1973 to 1977, she studied at the Romanos Melikyan Music College under Honored Teacher Nina Karapetyan, giving solo recitals during her student years.

She has taught piano at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School since 1977. Alongside her teaching career, she studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1978 to 1983 under Professor Villi Sargsyan.

Throughout her extensive teaching career, she has educated numerous students, three of whom are now teachers at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

For approximately 36 years, she has organized concerts featuring rarely performed and new musical works. Her annual concert series, Rarely Performed Works, takes place at one of Yerevan’s museums and brings together students from different departments of the school. The initiative aims to broaden students’ musical horizons and encourage their interest in new and lesser-known compositions.

Araksya Farsyan received her professional music education at the Romanos Melikyan Music College in Yerevan and continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Gayane Margaryan.

She began teaching at the A. Hekimyan Music School in 2006 and has been teaching piano at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan since 2012.

Lusine Ashikyan studied at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Specialized Music School in the class of Honored Teacher Tatyana Hayrapetyan, and later graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Bagrat Vardanyan.

She has been engaged in teaching since 2013. Many of her students have become laureates of national and international competitions.

For professional development, she has participated in masterclasses with renowned violinists Suren Hakhnazaryan, Alexander Kosemyan, Eduard Tadevosyan, Savely Shalman, and others.

Susanna Armenakyan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

In 2021, she was awarded the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Armen Baghdasaryan received his professional education at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School in the class of Professor Levon Zoryan. From 1995 to 2000, he continued his studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and from 2000 to 2002 in postgraduate studies under Professor Eduard Tadevosyan.

He is a laureate of national and international competitions. He received third prize at the S. Aslamazyan and A. Gabrielyan National Violin Competition and second prize at the S. Elmas International Competition.

Since 2004, he has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a violin teacher.

Arman Grigoryan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Eduard Tadevosyan. He is a laureate of several national competitions and was a member of the New Names Foundation.

As a member of the Van String Quartet, he took part in international competitions and festivals in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Russia, including the Shostakovich String Quartet Competition in Moscow.

As a guest musician, he performed with the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra under conductor Uwe Berkemer. Until 2023, he was one of the first violinists of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has been engaged in teaching since 2013. At various music schools, he has founded student orchestras and ensembles and has authored a number of arrangements. His students are laureates of the Renaissance, Art Music, and AGBU Discovers Talents competitions.

He refined his conducting skills under Ruben Asatryan, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia.

At the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, he conducts the chamber orchestra, helping students develop ensemble performance skills and experience in collaborative music-making.

Ruben Davtyan received his professional education at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, studying first under Professor Armen Mesropyan and subsequently under Professor Medea Abrahamyan.

He is a laureate of national and international competitions. He teaches at several music and arts schools in Yerevan and Vagharshapat, as well as at the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College.

Yana Daryan graduated from the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan, the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and its postgraduate program in the class of Professor Sergey Khachatryan. She continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Bern in Switzerland under Professors Hartmut Rohde and Christoph Schiller.

During her professional development, she participated in master classes with Walter Levin, Thomas Kakuska, and Bruno Canino.

She has performed at music festivals in Berlin, Salzburg, St. Moritz, Bern, and other European cities. She has also taken part in a number of festivals in Yerevan, including the National Gallery Festival, the Baroque Music Festival, and the Yerevan International Music Festival of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

From 1990 to 2010, she was principal violist of the Serenade Chamber Orchestra. She has given the first performances of a number of works written for viola.

As a chamber musician, she has performed on European stages with the Serenade, Narekatsi, Swiss Esprit, and Trio E-Grazia ensembles. She has also performed with the Berner Kammerorchester, Schweizer Kammerorchester, Orchestre Symphonique Neuchâtelois, Berner Sinfonietta, and other orchestras.

She is an artist of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also worked with Germany’s Sinfonieorchester Bochum and Philharmonie Essen.

She has collaborated with composers Tigran Mansurian, Krzysztof Penderecki, Yervand Yerkanyan, Khachatur Martirosyan, Vache Sharafyan, Konstantin Petrossian, Mikhail Kokzhaev, and Mikhail Bronner. She has also performed with renowned musicians including Wolfgang Meyer, Diemut Poppen, Daishin Kashimoto, Alexander Chaushian, Yuri Zhislin, Natalia Lomeiko, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Aram Talalyan, Suren Shahijanyan, Levon Chilingirian, Carolin Widmann, and others.

Since 2020, she has taken part in a number of chamber-music projects, including Classics for Everyone, Tet-A-Tet, and the chamber concert series of the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum.

Since 2020, she has taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and the Romanos Melikyan State Music College in Yerevan.

Aram Khachaturyan is a fourth-year student at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying under Professor Hakob Jaghats­panyan.

Alongside his teaching activities, he performs as a member of the Artsakh State Jazz Orchestra.

Karen Khachatryan is a double bassist and long-time principal of the double bass section of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 1985, he graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Sergey Ghazaryan. That same year, he became a laureate of the Transcaucasian Competition.

During his professional career, he has worked with the orchestra of the Yerevan Opera Theatre, the Yerevan Chamber Orchestra, the Armenian State Chamber Orchestra, and the Serenade Chamber Orchestra, collaborating with conductors Zaven Vardanyan, Ruben Aharonyan, Emin Khachaturian, Aram Gharabekian, Eduard Topchjan, and others.

As a member of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, he has performed under distinguished Armenian and international conductors, including David Khanjian, Valery Gergiev, Loris Tjeknavorian, and Eduard Topchjan. He has participated in numerous international tours with the orchestra.

As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with the Komitas String Quartet, various ensembles, and soloists.

Suren Hakhnazaryan was born in Yerevan on November 13, 1949. He graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in 1972 and completed postgraduate studies at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in 1974.

Since 1984, he has been a violinist of the Komitas State String Quartet. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of the Hakhnazaryan Trio.

Since 1985, he has taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and has held the rank of professor since 2003.

In 1969, he won first prize at the Transcaucasian Competition; in 1985, he received the State Prize of the Armenian SSR. In 2019, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia.

Karmen Harutyunyan received her music education at the Anushavan Ter-Ghevondyan Music School in Yerevan in the class of V. Seyranyan and later continued her studies at the Arno Babajanyan Music College. She received her higher professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the classes of A. Bogdanyan and Suren Hakhnazaryan.

She worked in the orchestra of the Opera Studio affiliated with the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and at the Zareh Sahakyants Music School in Abovyan, the Gevorg Budaghyan Music School in Yerevan, and the Barsegh Kanachyan Music School.

Since 2018, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a violin teacher.

Her students are laureates of numerous national and international competitions and participants in the New Names, Music for the Future, and Start programs.

Jemma Manukyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, completing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She studied cello with Professor Armen Mesropyan and the art of string quartet with Professor Edita Avagyan.

She is a laureate of national competitions.

She is a cellist with the Armenian State Chamber Orchestra and the Gyumri Komitas Orchestra.

Zhanna Mkrtchyan received her initial music education at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School and continued her studies at the Romanos Melikyan Music College.

After graduating from the college, she began her teaching career at the Avet Gabrielyan Music School while continuing her education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the violin class of Hakob Vardanyan.

Following her graduation from the Conservatory, she combined her teaching career with performing as concertmaster of the Yerevan Municipality Chamber Orchestra. As a member of the orchestra, she toured internationally, performing in Germany, Spain, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries.

She currently serves as Head of the Strings Department at the Avet Gabrielyan Art School and teaches violin at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Many of her students have won prizes at national and municipal competitions, while some have gone on to pursue professional careers in orchestras around the world.

In 2016, Manya Movsisyan graduated from Yerevan State Pedagogical University with a degree in Music Education, obtaining a teaching qualification. She received her professional guitar training under Professor Nune Badalyan.

Since 2016, she has taught guitar at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School. She also teaches at the Konstantin Sarajyan Music School and the Armen Tigranyan Music School in Yerevan.

With extensive teaching experience, she works with students of different age groups, helping them develop their performance skills and musical understanding.

Anita Nalbandyan studied cello at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School in Yerevan from 2006 to 2013.

In 2016, she entered the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying under Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Armen Mesropyan. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2020 and her master's degree in 2022.

From 2009 to 2016, she performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Yuri Bakhshyan Children's Philharmonic of Yerevan Municipality. In 2016, she performed with the International Youth Orchestra Academy (IJOA) in Germany. In 2018, she participated in a series of concerts in Bulgaria with the Bern Conservatory Orchestra.

She has attended masterclasses with Boris Andrianov, Suren Bagratuni, and Alexander Chaushian in Armenia, as well as with László Fenyő, Péter Somodari, and Ramon Jaffé abroad.

Since 2025, she has been teaching at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Hakob Jaghatspanyan was born in Yerevan. From 1978 to 1982, he studied guitar at the Romanos Melikyan Music College, and from 1990 to 1994, he continued his studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

From 1985 to 1991, he was a soloist with the Armenian State Philharmonic. Since 1995, he has taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. He was appointed Associate Professor in 2010 and Professor in 2014.

Dozens of his students have become prizewinners at international competitions. He has performed in concerts and conducted masterclasses in numerous countries around the world.

In 2012, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia. He has also been awarded a medal by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

Gayane Rafaelyan graduated with honors from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Levon Grigoryan, receiving qualifications as a soloist and teacher.

She has around 50 years of teaching and performing experience. For more than 30 years, she taught at the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan. She also worked for many years at the H. Danielyan and K. Sarajyan music schools.

She currently teaches at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School and the Armen Tigranyan Music School in Yerevan.

Throughout her professional career, she has received numerous certificates of honor, diplomas, and letters of appreciation, as well as the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

Her students have regularly taken part in national and international festivals and competitions and have been selected for prestigious music programs, earning awards and laureate titles.

Tiruhi Sargsyan is a cellist and music educator. She received her early musical education at the Tigran Chukhajyan Music School in Yerevan.

She has taught at the Avet Gabrielyan Art School in Yerevan. She currently teaches at the Sayat-Nova Music School of Yerevan and the Alexander Spendiaryan Specialized Music School.

Her former students include cellists Hayk Sukiasyan and Mikayel Grigoryan.

Susanna Stepanyants studied violin at the Konstantin Sarajyan Music School in Yerevan from 1965 to 1972. She continued her education at the Arno Babajanyan Music and Pedagogical College from 1972 to 1976.

From 1980 to 1985, she studied viola at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, graduating with a specialization in viola performance.

She began her teaching career in 1976 at the Yeghvard Music School. From 1977 to 1980, she taught at the Mirzoyan Music School.

Since 1982, she has taught at the Alexander Hekimyan Music School in Yerevan. She joined the teaching staff of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School in 2013.

Maya Srapyan received her professional music education at the M. Balanchivadze Music College in Tbilisi, Georgia, studying under Nunu Chikokidze.

She taught harp at the Gohar Music School in Gyumri while also performing as a harpist with the Gohar Symphony Orchestra.

Throughout her extensive teaching career, she has received numerous certificates of recognition and appreciation, including recognition from Sergey Smbatyan, conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

Her students have participated in national and international competitions in Armenia, the United States, and various European countries, receiving certificates of recognition.

She currently teaches harp in the Strings Department of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Beginning in 1969, Tigran Toghramajyan studied violin for eleven years in the class of Honored Teacher of the Republic of Armenia Petros Haykazyan. From 1980 to 1985, he continued his studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Eduard Dayan, a student of David Oistrakh.

From 1986 to 1995, he worked at the Alexander Spendiarian Music School in Yerevan as a violin teacher and deputy director, and from 1995 to 2013 at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

From 2013 to 2025, he served as Chief of Staff of the Cultural Education Support Foundation. During those years, he conducted master classes and methodological support courses in the regions of Armenia and in Artsakh.

He is the author of four violin teaching manuals and compiled a curriculum for specialized string-instrument classes. In 2008, he took part in developing the curriculum for music and art schools of Armenia and subsequently contributed to its annual revision and development.

He has been engaged in teaching since 1983. Dozens of his students have become laureates of national and international competitions, including gold-medal winners.

For his teaching activity, he was awarded the “Best Teacher” medal of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Sona Ruben Harutyunyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and later continued her postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Yevgeny Noninyan.

At the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, she teaches flute and heads the Wind and Percussion Department.

Knarik Babajanyan completed her piano studies at the K. Sarajyan Music School in Yerevan and subsequently at the Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School, studying under Elmira Asatryan and Georgi Ghasabyan.

From 2010 to 2022, she pursued her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying musicology, choral conducting, and wind instruments under Professors Svetlana Sargsyan, Tigran Hekekyan, and Alexander Manukyan, and earning a master’s degree.

In 2006, she joined the Little Singers of Armenia choir, with which she participated in numerous international festivals. From 2011 to 2023, she worked at the Little Singers of Armenia Children’s Philharmonic, serving as the choir’s principal conductor during her final years there.

She has been teaching at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan since 2014.

From 2021 to 2023, she directed the Boys’ Choir of the Artistic Education and Children’s and Youth Culture Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. Since 2022, she has also taught at the H. Danielyan and B. Kanachyan Art Schools in Yerevan.

Since 2023, she has been teaching at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the Departments of Chamber and Instrumental Ensemble and History and Theory of Performing Arts.

She is a laureate of international competitions. In recognition of her professional achievements, she has received a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, as well as letters of appreciation from Yerevan Municipality and international competitions.

Stanislav Bakhshiyan received his professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

He worked at the music schools of Kasakh and Yeghvard in the Nairi district. Since 1992, he has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a percussion teacher.

He also teaches at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

He is a percussionist with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Vyacheslav Manucharyan was born on January 8, 1956. He is a clarinetist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, and professor.

From 1973 to 1980, he performed with the Yerevan State Wind Orchestra, followed by the Armenian Radio and Television State Symphony Orchestra from 1980 to 1994. From 1994 to 2023, he served as Principal Clarinet of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory since 2001, at the Sayat-Nova Music School of Yerevan since 2016, and at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College since 2020.

In 1979, he won First Prize at the First Transcaucasian Wind and Percussion Instruments Competition.

In 2011, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia. He received the academic title of Associate Professor in Music in 2012 and Professor in Music in 2017.

Smbat Margaryan received his initial music education at the A. Gabrielyan Music School and later continued his studies at the Romanos Melikyan Music College. Alongside his studies, he performed in the youth pop orchestra conducted by Melik Mavisakalyan.

He received his higher music education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

During his professional career, he worked in the orchestra conducted by Haykaz Mesiayan and in the Band of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

Arman Muradyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Alexander Manukyan.

He continued his professional music education at the Conservatory in Lyon, France, studying under Professor Jean-Denis Michat.

Lilit Nersisyan was born on December 29, 1995.

She began her music education in the piano department of the Konstantin Sarajyan Music School in Yerevan and later continued her studies in the wind instruments department of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

She received her professional training at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Tigran Gevorgyan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, and at the Russian State Specialized Academy of Arts under Professor Andrey Shatsky, an Honored Educator and Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation.

She has represented Armenia at numerous international competitions and festivals, receiving first prizes and special awards. Her achievements include Grand Prix awards at the Harmony International Music Competition and the AGBU Discovers Talents Competition. She has further developed her artistry through masterclasses with distinguished flutists.

She has served as principal soloist of the Kandinsky Symphony Orchestra and principal flutist of the Vasily Petrenko Conducting Academy. She has also performed as a soloist with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and regularly gives solo recitals.

Alongside her performing career, she is actively involved in international music education, teaching students from various countries. Her students have successfully gained admission to higher music education institutions in Oxford and Luxembourg, as well as to European youth orchestras.

Since 2021, she has taught flute at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Harutyun Shakhkyan was born on March 15, 1976. He received his early musical education in the oboe class at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School in Yerevan.

From 1989 to 1993, he studied at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Specialized Music School in Yerevan under Professor K. P. Babayan. He continued his studies in the wind instruments department of the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan from 1993 to 1998, studying with the same professor. He completed postgraduate studies at the conservatory in 2001.

In 1991, he won Second Prize at a competition held in Voronezh. In 1994, he received First Prize at the Amadeus Competition for Young Musicians in Yerevan. In 1998, he received a special prize as a member of the Amadeus-98 Wind Quintet.

From 1992 to 1994, he performed with the Yerevan Symphony Orchestra. Since 1994, he has served as Principal Oboe of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. With the orchestra, he has toured the United States, Japan, China, Russia, and several European countries.

He has taught at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Specialized Music School in Yerevan since 2011 and at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan since 2013. From 2017 to 2021, he was a lecturer at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan.

In 2016, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

Lilit Perikhanyan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she studied under Professor Gayane Muradyan. She earned her master's degree in 2023 and continued her studies in advanced performance and creative mastery under the same professor from 2023 to 2025.

In 2022, she won First Prize at the 4th Mozart International Competition for Performing Musicians.

As a flutist, she has performed as a soloist, ensemble musician, and orchestral player. She has participated in the Armenian Contemporary Chamber Music Festival, ART WEEK 2024, Guardians of National Culture, and Guardians of Art cultural programs. She has performed with the Danielyan Folk Band and gave a solo recital at the Grand Hall of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in 2025.

In 2021, she served as second flutist of the Kandinsky Symphony Orchestra.

She has been engaged in music education since 2018, teaching at the Haykanush Danielyan Art School and the Tigran Chukhajyan Music School in Yerevan. Since 2024, she has been a flute teacher at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

In her teaching, she works with students of different age groups, developing their musical understanding, performance abilities, and technical skills while preparing them for concerts, examinations, and creative projects.

Albert Safaryan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1971 to 1976 in the class of Professor Mikayel Khachatryan, receiving qualifications as a soloist and teacher.

In 1977, he began working at the Sayat-Nova Music College in Stepanakert as a trumpet teacher. From 1986 to 1988, he served as Director of the Stepanakert School of Arts.

Since 1993, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Artsakh, serving as its president from 2001 to 2003.

He received the annual Yeghishe Prize of the Government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. In 2014, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the NKR Medal of Gratitude.

From 2011 to 2023, he directed and conducted the Wind Orchestra of the Stepanakert Municipality.

Throughout his teaching career, his students have won prizes and laureate titles at national, Transcaucasian, and international competitions.

He teaches trumpet at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Andranik Kochar was born on September 7, 1973. He received his initial music education at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan.

From 1990 to 1995, he studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and from 1995 to 1997 he continued his postgraduate studies in the Wind Instruments Department of the same institution.

From 1997 to 1999, he served in the band of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

He has been active as an orchestral musician since 1990, and since 2000 he has served as principal bassoonist of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 1997, he won first prize at the competition for string and wind ensembles organized by the Liza Charitable Foundation for a performance of Beethoven’s Quintet. In 1999, as a member of the Yerevan Woodwind Quintet, he took part in the Third Yerevan International Music Festival.

He has participated in international tours and has appeared in solo concerts in Armenia and Artsakh.

Since 2015, he has taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School. Since 2021, he has also taught at the Gyumri Branch of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and since 2022 at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College in Yerevan.

Armine Harutyunyan was born in Yerevan on March 29, 1982. She attended Yerevan Secondary School No. 170.

From 1992 to 1997, she studied kanun at the G. Budaghyan Music School in Yerevan. From 1997 to 2001, she studied at the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan.

From 2001 to 2006, she studied kanun at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Anzhela Atabekyan. In 2008, she completed her postgraduate studies at the conservatory.

In 2004, she took part in the National Competition for Young Performing Musicians, receiving first prize and a monetary award.

From 2005 to 2009, she taught solfeggio and harmony at the Naghash Hovnatan Academic College of Arts in Yerevan. From 2005 to 2024, she worked as a kanun player with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments.

From 2002 to 2012, she collaborated with well-known singers in various concerts and events. From 2011 to 2016, she was invited to participate in a dance show program as a kanun player.

Since 2015, she has taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, and since 2017 she has directed the school’s Kanun Ensemble.

In 2020, she was invited to the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan as a kanun teacher. Since 2024, she has worked at the National Center of Folk Music and Dance as an administrator.

She has participated in a number of state events and has given solo concerts in various cities and regions of Armenia. She has recorded at Ardzagank, Vem, Karen Records, and other studios.

In 2025, she received certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the National Center of Folk Music and Dance.

Narine Zakaryan graduated with honors from the Kanun Departments of the A. Babajanyan Music and Pedagogical College in Yerevan and the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. She is a laureate of national and international competitions.

She has performed in Armenia, Artsakh, and abroad. From 2005 to 2025, she worked with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments as a soloist, concertmaster, and conductor. She has received certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 1989, she has worked at the Byureghavan Music School, and in 2014 she was appointed Director of the Charles Aznavour School of Arts in Byureghavan.

Since 2007, she has also taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, where she conducts the National Instruments Orchestra. From 2008 to 2021, she also served as Head of the National Instruments Department. In 2010, she was named Teacher of the Year by Yerevan Municipality.

Over approximately 37 years of teaching, many of her students have become laureates of national and international competitions. The orchestras she founded have received numerous awards and have performed in Armenia and abroad.

Arshaluis Tadevosyan was born in Gyumri in 1990. In 2007, he graduated from the Gohar Music School in Gyumri, where he studied shvi and duduk. From 2007 to 2011, he studied duduk at the Department of Armenian Folk Instruments of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. In 2015, he completed his master’s degree at the same institution.

Since 2013, he has been a duduk player with the State Song and Dance Ensemble of Armenia at the National Centre of Folk Music and Dance. Since 2020, he has performed with Boeing Orchestra and collaborated with Jinj Band. Since 2025, he has also performed with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments of the National Centre of Folk Music and Dance.

From 2003 to 2007, Tadevosyan was a member of the New Names charitable programme. He has participated in numerous national and international competitions and festivals. In 2005, he won Second Prize at the Republican Competition for Solo Performers of National Instruments and Folk Song. In 2007, he became a laureate of the 2nd Alexander Spendiaryan Republican Competition for Young Musician-Performers. In 2011, he won First Prize at an international festival held in Gyumri, and in 2014, he received the Grand Prix at the 6th Renaissance International Competition-Festival.

His concert activities have included performances in Italy with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and participation in an international festival in Canada. He has also performed in Denmark, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Iran, Türkiye, Russia, and Georgia. He has been invited to perform Avet Terterian’s Symphony No. 3 with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Azniv Minasyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and subsequently pursued postgraduate studies under Professor and composer Khachatur Avetisyan.

She is a laureate of international competitions. For approximately 25 years, she served as the principal kanun player of the Tatul Altunyan State Song and Dance Ensemble.

She has been awarded the Grigor Narekatsi Commemorative Medal by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

She has also received certificates of honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in recognition of her active contribution to the preservation and promotion of Armenian folk culture, as well as her significant contribution to the development and promotion of Armenian national dance.

Christine Mnatsakanyan completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University, where she later taught from 2016 to 2021.

She is a santur soloist with the State Orchestra of National Instruments of Armenia and a laureate of national competitions.

She began her teaching career in 2008 at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan, where she continues to teach. Over the years, she has also taught at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College.

She currently teaches at the Arno Babajanyan State Musical-Pedagogical College of Yerevan and at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

She received her professional music education at the Romanos Melikyan Music College and continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Norayr Davtyan.

She is a laureate of a national competition. She performed with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments, also appearing as a soloist.

In recognition of her professional achievements, she was awarded a Certificate of Honor by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

Davit Sayadyan received his professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

He is a laureate of national competitions and an oud player with the Aram Merangulyan Honored Folk Instruments Ensemble of Public Radio of Armenia.

Lusine Ayvazyan studied at the Piano Department of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School from 1989 to 1996, in the class of A. Altunyan.

From 1999 to 2004, she continued her studies at the Academic Vocal Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying first with Professor M. A. Galustova. She graduated with qualifications as a solo singer and teacher.

Since 2015, she has been teaching academic singing at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Gohar Balyan graduated from the Vocal and Kanun Departments of the Alexander Achemyan Music School in Yerevan. In 2011, she graduated from the Kanun Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. In 2022, she earned a master's degree in Music Education from the Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University.

Since 2010, she has been a solo kanun player with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments at the National Center of Folk Music and Dance.

In 2007, she participated in the first season of Folk Singer, a television competition produced by Shant TV, reaching the final round.

In 2008, as an outstanding graduate of the Alexander Achemyan Music School, she presented the Armenian kanun in London.

Since 2022, she has been teaching at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Lili Markosyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Tatevik Sazandaryan. She subsequently pursued postgraduate studies under Professor Susanna Martirosyan.

She continued her professional education in Poland, undertaking postgraduate studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under Professor Jolanta Janutyk.

She teaches at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Academic Singing and a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Collaborative Piano.

She has given solo recitals in Armenia and Poland.

She has also worked as a vocal teaching methodology specialist at the Cultural Education Support Foundation. As part of the Foundation's programs, she has conducted methodological workshops and masterclasses for teachers and students of music and art schools across Armenia, contributing to the development of vocal education and the professional skills of music educators.

Lilit Simonyan began her musical education at the Armen Tigranyan Music School in Yerevan, where she graduated from the Piano Department. From 1997 to 2004, she studied at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, in the Academic Singing Department of the Faculty of Vocal and Theoretical Studies, under the guidance of Professor Ruzanna Baghdasaryan. Upon graduation, she received professional qualifications as an opera and chamber singer, as well as a vocal instructor.

Lilit Simonyan is a laureate of national and international vocal competitions. Throughout her professional career, she has participated in numerous vocal and inclusive education master classes, continuously developing her artistic and pedagogical skills and receiving relevant certificates of recognition and professional training.

In 2008, she taught at the K. Sarajyan Music School. Since the same year, she has been sharing her professional knowledge and extensive stage experience with younger generations as a teacher of academic singing at the Sayat-Nova Music School. From 2022 to 2025, she served as Head of the School’s Vocal Department.

Lilit Simonyan has trained and mentored numerous young singers, several of whom have successfully participated in and become laureates of national and international competitions. Her dedication to music education and her professional contribution have been recognized with numerous letters of appreciation and certificates of commendation from the school administration and the Mayor of Yerevan.

Since 2011, she has performed as a soloist and soprano with the “Paros” Chamber Choir of Unison NGO, which supports people with special needs.

As a soloist, Lilit Simonyan has performed at numerous distinguished venues in Armenia and abroad. She has appeared in concert programs at several concert halls in France, as well as in Riga, Sochi, and Yerevan. Her performances have taken place at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Komitas Chamber Music House, the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall, the Hakob Paronyan Theatre, and the Metro Theatre.

From 2011 to 2022, Lilit Simonyan volunteered at the “Mayri” Center for Medical Pedagogy and Social Therapy, where she worked as a vocal specialist and choir director.

Since 2004, Lilit Simonyan has served as a soloist in the Armenian Apostolic Church, and since 2015, she has also served as a church choir director.

She founded and directed the “Zoravor” Choir of the Youth Union of Saint Zoravor Surp Astvatsatsin Church. She also established and directed the “Mankunk” Children’s Choir affiliated with the church, contributing to the musical and spiritual education of children and young people.

Knarik Babajanyan completed her piano studies at the K. Sarajyan Music School in Yerevan and subsequently at the Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School, studying under Elmira Asatryan and Georgi Ghasabyan.

From 2010 to 2022, she pursued her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying musicology, choral conducting, and wind instruments under Professors Svetlana Sargsyan, Tigran Hekekyan, and Alexander Manukyan, and earning a master’s degree.

In 2006, she joined the Little Singers of Armenia choir, with which she participated in numerous international festivals. From 2011 to 2023, she worked at the Little Singers of Armenia Children’s Philharmonic, serving as the choir’s principal conductor during her final years there.

She has been teaching at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan since 2014.

From 2021 to 2023, she directed the Boys’ Choir of the Artistic Education and Children’s and Youth Culture Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. Since 2022, she has also taught at the H. Danielyan and B. Kanachyan Art Schools in Yerevan.

Since 2023, she has been teaching at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the Departments of Chamber and Instrumental Ensemble and History and Theory of Performing Arts.

She is a laureate of international competitions. In recognition of her professional achievements, she has received a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, as well as letters of appreciation from Yerevan Municipality and international competitions.

Naira Grigoryan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and later continued her postgraduate studies. She defended her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Doctor of Art Studies, Professor Anna Asatryan.

She teaches at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School and the P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School.

She is co-author of the Music Literature Curriculum (with Meline Selvinazyan and Knarik Torosyan, 2026) and the textbook Music Literature, Part Four (with Meline Selvinazyan, 2026).

For her teaching activity, she has received letters of appreciation from the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Zhanna Terlemezyan graduated from the Music Education Department of the Faculty of Art Education at Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University. She holds a master’s degree.

Since 2015, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a teacher of theory subjects. Since 2024, she has also taught theory subjects at Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University.

In 2025, together with Anna Harutyunyan, she co-authored the Collection of Musical Dictations for Grades 1–7, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 2005, Knarik Torosyan has worked as a teacher of music theory subjects.

From 1990 to 1998, she studied at and graduated from the Alexander Spendiarian Specialized Music School in Yerevan. From 1998 to 2002, she studied in the Music Theory Department of the Romanos Melikyan Music College.

From 2002 to 2007, she completed her master’s studies in Musicology at the Vocal-Theoretical Faculty of the Yerevan State Conservatory under the supervision of M. Navoyan.

From 1992 to 2003, she sang in the Little Singers of Armenia choir and took part in a number of prestigious international competitions and festivals, becoming a laureate of international competitions.

From 1999 to 2011, she worked at Armenian National Television as an assistant director. From 2009 to 2011, she taught aesthetics and art at the Monte Melkonian Military Sports College of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2011, she collaborated with the children’s magazine Multishock, contributing the “Record” page. She has also published articles in other magazines.

From 2011 to 2023, she worked at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography as a lecturer in music theory and history.

From 2015 to 2026, she served as Head of the Theory Department at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Anna Harutyunyan is a musicologist, scholar, educator, and composer. She graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, specializing in Musicology, and studied composition with renowned Armenian composers Stepan Lusikyan and Mikhail Kokzhaev.

In 2009, she defended her doctoral dissertation and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Art History. She subsequently pursued doctoral studies at the Institute of Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Anna Harutyunyan has devoted more than three decades to music education. Since 1993, she has taught at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School in Yerevan. Since 2003, she has been a member of the faculty of the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan, where she currently serves as Head of the Chair of Music Pedagogy. Since 2004, she has also been teaching at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan.

Her professional interests encompass music theory, solfège, music pedagogy, and the development of teaching methodology in music education. She is the author of approximately 40 scholarly articles and educational and methodological publications.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, she has authored solfège workbooks, teaching materials, and methodological resources for Grades 1–7 of music schools.

She is a co-author of the five-year and seven-year Solfège curricula for art and music schools (R. Stepanyan, 2026), as well as the collection Musical Dictations for Grades 1–7 (Zh. Terlemezyan, 2026).

Alongside her academic and pedagogical career, Anna Harutyunyan is actively engaged in creative work. Her artistic activity includes the creation and presentation of original musical works, which she regularly presents through author concerts.

Her professional work reflects a sustained commitment to music education, scholarly research, pedagogical development, and creative expression.

Narine Matevosyan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Robert Atayan.

During her professional career, she worked as a music editor in the Information Department of the Composers’ Union of Armenia.

From 1991 to 2005, she taught at the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan. She also worked at the Aregnazan Educational Complex as a music teacher and choir conductor.

At the Barsegh Kanachyan School of Arts, she served as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Head of the Theory Department, and teacher.

In 2024, she returned to the Sayat-Nova Music School in Yerevan, where she currently teaches music theory subjects.

Jemma Sedrak Minasyan was born in Yerevan on April 11, 1998. She received her music education at the Tigran Chukhajian Music School in Yerevan in the piano and cello departments, studying cello in the class of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Samvel Sahakyan.

From 2012 to 2016, she studied in the Theory Department of the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan. She then continued her studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, studying composition with Professor Aram Satyan and cello with Professor Armen Mesropyan. She completed her master’s degree at the conservatory in 2022.

For further professional development, she took part in seminars and master classes at the Tchaikovsky International Academy for Young Composers. She studied electronic and acoustic music with composer Nikolai Khrust and attended cello master classes with Ilya Rubinstein and Yulia Migunova.

As the only representative from Armenia, she was selected to participate in the Composers’ Readings project of the Union of Composers of Russia. She collaborated with the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble and performed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Kazan, and other cities. From 2018 to 2019, she was a scholarship recipient of the Union of Composers of Russia.

She is a laureate of a number of national and international competitions. In 2021, for the music she composed for a stage production based on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Black Cat, she received the Best Music Author award at the annual Artavazd Theatre Awards.

From 2018 to 2024, she worked with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments as principal cellist, and from 2023 to 2025 with the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia as a cellist. She has performed in Armenia and in several European countries.

She is a guest musician of the Hamazkayin Theatre and has created the musical design for a number of productions, including The Black Cat (director Zara Antonyan), Ara the Beautiful and Shamiram, ImproArt (director Yuri Kostanyan), and Bukowski (director Marika Dovlatbekyan).

Since 2020, she has taught music theory subjects and composition at the Alexey Hekimyan Music School in Yerevan. Since 2025, she has also taught at the Kasakh School of Arts, and since 2026 at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Meline Selvinazyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

She is co-author of the Music Literature Curriculum (with Naira Grigoryan and Knarik Torosyan, 2026) and the textbook Music Literature, Part Four (with Naira Grigoryan, 2026).

For her teaching activity, she has received letters of appreciation from the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Marine Avetisyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Marika Yedigaryan. She later continued her postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Tigran Hekekyan.

Nairi Grace Bardakchyan received her professional education in choral conducting at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, completing her bachelor’s and postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Tigran Hekekyan. She also studied symphonic conducting with Professor Aram Gharabekian and chamber vocal performance with Professor Larisa Mkrtchyan.

Since 2001, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, teaching choral art and directing children’s choirs.

At the 2008 World Choir Games in Graz, Austria, the Avetis Choir under her artistic direction won three gold medals and the world championship title in the Contemporary Music category, performing works by contemporary Armenian composers.

With the choirs of the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, she has participated in various competitions and received a number of awards, including first prizes.

In parallel with her music career, she teaches in the Department of Methodology of Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University. She is a licensed court interpreter in the State of California, USA, and the founder and director of Graceful LLC.

Tamara Galstyan graduated from the Department of Music Education at the Faculty of Art Education of the Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University, earning a master's degree.

She is a laureate of a national music competition.

She currently directs the Patilner Choir at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, fostering students' choral performance skills.

Arman Grigoryan graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Eduard Tadevosyan. He is a laureate of several national competitions and was a member of the New Names Foundation.

As a member of the Van String Quartet, he took part in international competitions and festivals in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Russia, including the Shostakovich String Quartet Competition in Moscow.

As a guest musician, he performed with the Caucasian Chamber Orchestra under conductor Uwe Berkemer. Until 2023, he was one of the first violinists of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has been engaged in teaching since 2013. At various music schools, he has founded student orchestras and ensembles and has authored a number of arrangements. His students are laureates of the Renaissance, Art Music, and AGBU Discovers Talents competitions.

He refined his conducting skills under Ruben Asatryan, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia.

At the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, he conducts the chamber orchestra, helping students develop ensemble performance skills and experience in collaborative music-making.

Lunara Grigoryan (Hambardzumyan) was born in Stepanakert. She graduated from the Komitas Music School in Stepanakert and subsequently from the Choral Conducting Department of the Sayat-Nova Music College.

She received her higher professional education in Choral Conducting at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and continued her studies at the master's level under Professor Tigran Hekekyan.

During her professional career, she worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School and with the Little Singers of Armenia Choir, focusing on children's music education and the development of choral performance skills.

For many years, she served as a choir conductor at the Children's and Youth Creative Center in Stepanakert. She also founded a children's choir in the village of Vank, Artsakh. The choir participated in the community's cultural life and provided liturgical music during Divine Liturgies at Gandzasar Monastery.

In Artsakh, she initiated and organized a National Song and Dance Festival involving approximately 300 students. The festival aimed to preserve and promote Armenian traditional music, dance, and cultural heritage.

In recognition of her contribution to the preservation and development of national culture, she was awarded the Sayat-Nova Medal.

She has many years of experience teaching music and the subject of Armenian National Song and Dance, placing particular emphasis on passing Armenian musical heritage on to younger generations.

She currently serves as a choir conductor at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School. She also teaches Music and Armenian National Song and Dance at Yerevan Basic School No. 173, named after Vahagn Vardevanyan, where she chairs the methodological association for Arts and Crafts.

From 2009 to 2013, Marine Grigoryan studied choral conducting at the Faculty of Vocal and Theoretical Studies of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under Professor Hovhannes Mirzoyan. She completed her master’s degree in the same field in 2015.

Throughout her professional career, she has worked with choirs at various music schools. She has also collaborated on theatrical productions as a choir conductor, including Loretsi Sako at the Hamazgayin Theatre and Maro at the Tek Tegh Theatre.

In 2017, she participated in the Thuringia Bach Festival in Germany as a member of the Weimar Bach Academy Choir. She performed in several concerts under the direction of renowned conductor and Bach specialist Helmuth Rilling and attended his masterclasses.

Narine Zakaryan graduated with honors from the Kanun Departments of the A. Babajanyan Music and Pedagogical College in Yerevan and the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. She is a laureate of national and international competitions.

She has performed in Armenia, Artsakh, and abroad. From 2005 to 2025, she worked with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments as a soloist, concertmaster, and conductor. She has received certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 1989, she has worked at the Byureghavan Music School, and in 2014 she was appointed Director of the Charles Aznavour School of Arts in Byureghavan.

Since 2007, she has also taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, where she conducts the National Instruments Orchestra. From 2008 to 2021, she also served as Head of the National Instruments Department. In 2010, she was named Teacher of the Year by Yerevan Municipality.

Over approximately 37 years of teaching, many of her students have become laureates of national and international competitions. The orchestras she founded have received numerous awards and have performed in Armenia and abroad.

Armine Harutyunyan was born in Yerevan on March 29, 1982. She attended Yerevan Secondary School No. 170.

From 1992 to 1997, she studied kanun at the G. Budaghyan Music School in Yerevan. From 1997 to 2001, she studied at the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan.

From 2001 to 2006, she studied kanun at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Anzhela Atabekyan. In 2008, she completed her postgraduate studies at the conservatory.

In 2004, she took part in the National Competition for Young Performing Musicians, receiving first prize and a monetary award.

From 2005 to 2009, she taught solfeggio and harmony at the Naghash Hovnatan Academic College of Arts in Yerevan. From 2005 to 2024, she worked as a kanun player with the State Orchestra of Armenian National Instruments.

From 2002 to 2012, she collaborated with well-known singers in various concerts and events. From 2011 to 2016, she was invited to participate in a dance show program as a kanun player.

Since 2015, she has taught at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, and since 2017 she has directed the school’s Kanun Ensemble.

In 2020, she was invited to the Arno Babajanyan State Music Pedagogical College in Yerevan as a kanun teacher. Since 2024, she has worked at the National Center of Folk Music and Dance as an administrator.

She has participated in a number of state events and has given solo concerts in various cities and regions of Armenia. She has recorded at Ardzagank, Vem, Karen Records, and other studios.

In 2025, she received certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the National Center of Folk Music and Dance.

Karmen Harutyunyan received her music education at the Anushavan Ter-Ghevondyan Music School in Yerevan in the class of V. Seyranyan and later continued her studies at the Arno Babajanyan Music College. She received her higher professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the classes of A. Bogdanyan and Suren Hakhnazaryan.

She worked in the orchestra of the Opera Studio affiliated with the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and at the Zareh Sahakyants Music School in Abovyan, the Gevorg Budaghyan Music School in Yerevan, and the Barsegh Kanachyan Music School.

Since 2018, she has worked at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School as a violin teacher.

Her students are laureates of numerous national and international competitions and participants in the New Names, Music for the Future, and Start programs.

Sona Ruben Harutyunyan received her professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and later continued her postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Yevgeny Noninyan.

At the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School, she teaches flute and heads the Wind and Percussion Department.

Albert Safaryan studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1971 to 1976 in the class of Professor Mikayel Khachatryan, receiving qualifications as a soloist and teacher.

In 1977, he began working at the Sayat-Nova Music College in Stepanakert as a trumpet teacher. From 1986 to 1988, he served as Director of the Stepanakert School of Arts.

Since 1993, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Artsakh, serving as its president from 2001 to 2003.

He received the annual Yeghishe Prize of the Government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. In 2014, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the NKR Medal of Gratitude.

From 2011 to 2023, he directed and conducted the Wind Orchestra of the Stepanakert Municipality.

Throughout his teaching career, his students have won prizes and laureate titles at national, Transcaucasian, and international competitions.

He teaches trumpet at the Yerevan Sayat-Nova Music School.

Manuel Ohanian received his professional education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Tigran Hekekyan.

He is a laureate of national competitions.
